Laura & Brad’s upbeat wedding day at the Country Club of Lansing was filled with color and laughter and love. Their awesome group of friends and family helped them put their own unique stamp on their wedding with all of their charming and bright DIY details. Cute hand-drawn messages and signs were posted on colorful chalkboards throughout the venue; bright paper lanterns filled the tent (hung so expertly by Laura’s Dad!); her brother Peter officiated the wedding (he recently became official…online!); her mom made the awesome cupcakes and her sister made the delicious wedding cake. Vintage glass bottles held a pretty mix of wild and colorful flowers. Brad (his friends call him Lew) was very specific about a few things- he wasn’t wearing a suit and tie (“I’m just not a suit and tie kind of guy”) and his favorite color is orange, so it didn’t take much to convince him of their bright and cheerful color palette of pink and orange. He and the guys were comfortable and laid back in their linen shirts, khakis and sandals. Laura’s favorite flowers- poppies and peonies- were incorporated beautifully into the bouquets and casual vintage-inspired arrangements by Petal & Forrest out of Lansing- the flowers were gorgeous!
Laura & Brad are so perfect together and perfectly in love- they made each other laugh the whole day- they never stopped smiling, looking so fine, and being happy together. We are so excited that they included us in their amazing day!
