If you’re looking for senior picture ideas & themes, you’ve come to the right place! Sometimes it can be tough to come up with unique senior picture ideas. Knowing some possible themes or ideas for photos ahead of time can help ease that decision. Most of all, let’s make it fun! Since the goal is capturing the authentic you, choosing a theme reflective of your personality and interests is key. Read below for some possibilities!
-
Musical Instrument
If you are passionate about your favorite musical instrument, bringing it along for your photo shoot will allow me to capture you doing something meaningful. The juxtaposition of you and your musical instrument against nature or architecture backgrounds makes for interesting and unique senior photos.
-
Truck or Car
Sometimes it’s all about the ride! If your pride and joy is a vehicle you worked hard to restore or a car or truck that has brought you great memories, posing with it makes sense. Leaning alongside it or sitting on its hood can make for a cool, memorable shot. A country road makes for a great background for you and your auto.
-
Sport
If sports are your thing, your senior photos should reflect that interest as well as the hard work you put into your athleticism. Including a Varsity jacket, uniform, ball or other sports equipment in your shots makes the photos stand out. Track & Field or Cross Country runners can meet me at a track which will nicely showcase their love of running. Cross Country seniors can choose a favorite trail to serve as a winning backdrop to their photos. Those who row crew can meet up near the Huron River whereas swimmers can be photographed in or in front of a pool of choice. I can also photograph seniors on football fields, basketball and tennis courts, golf courses and skating rinks. If you are into roller derby, Lacrosse, dressage, aerial silks or rock climbing, let me capture you doing something that makes you, you. All great senior picture ideas!
-
Hobby
Hobbies or interests really make up an individual. If you are an avid reader then bring a favorite book and let me take photos of you reading in nature or in front of a library. If you are artistic, let me capture your love of the visual arts by photographing you in front of UMMA or Graffiti Alley in downtown Ann Arbor. Sitting in front of one of Ann Arbor’s newest murals is a great senior picture idea too!
-
Pets
Last but not least, don’t forget about your furry best friend! If you want to be photographed with your dog, cat, rabbit, horse or iguana, we can do that! I can meet you at a boarding spot or you can bring your smaller pet along for some shots. It’s best to have a willing family member or friend on hand to care for them when their task is complete so we can get other great photos of you.
