Shannon and Joe had a really lovely wedding at the MSU Arboretum & Gardens in East Lansing, MI. It was a sunny summer day and they were surrounded by lush foliage, exotic plants, formal English gardens and a truly happy group of family and friends. A good friend of the couple was the officiant, making the ceremony extra special, along with beautiful readings by family members. The kids were an extra special part of the day- Shannon and Joe met and fell in love while Shannon worked as a babysitter for Joe’s nephews and nieces! Their wedding party was all about family- Shannon’s sisters and Joe’s brothers. It felt warm and personal and truly meaningful. The bouquets, boutonnières and table arrangements were amazing- created by the ultra talented Sebesta Design based in East Lansing. At the reception in the big white tent, the guests rocked out to the awesome live band Global Village, who played a great mix of Motown, soul, funk and rock favorites. The horn section was extra impressive! For the guests that weren’t cutting a rug there were unique games on each table- childhood favorites like dominoes, Uno, and jacks. And we were happy to see that our photobooth was a big hit! Pitchers of milk and chocolate-chip cookies were on hand after dinner (from Shannon’s own homemade cookie dough!) It was such a fun and lively wedding, and Shannon and Joe were terrific to work with. Thank you so much for letting us capture your amazing day!
